be my guest

be my guest
having a little beach cottage across the street from la playa means lots of company. this takes a little planning though, as i always want my guests to be comfy and cozy.
time to break out the beach chairs, umbrellas, fluffy towels and sunscreen -- make that lots of sunscreen. organization is key so that your guests have most everything close at hand.
here's a few of my hosting essentials that will guarantee your guests a resort-quality stay.

1. lots of bath towels, i roll mine and put them in a basket.

2. a fridge stocked with essentials for quick snacks.

3. extra toothbrushes/toothpaste for the guest that decides they would rather sleep over.

4. i love to keep a waterproof clutch with me filled with everything any of us may need while we're at the beach.

5. lastly, a small picnic basket, the water famishes just about everyone i know. a few grapes, sandwiches and chips is pretty much all you need and drinks.
so clean up that barbecue! at my home it's barbecue just about every night and eating al fresco is our favorite.

don't forget your beach games and enjoy! if you happen to get tar on your feet, hands down the quickest and easiest way to get it off is with a cotton ball and a bit of baby oil.
