so cool! and what a night! we never get any sort of weather in southern california to write home about so it's terribly exciting when we do. our storm watch 2016 el nino didn't really turn into the epic event we were told to brace for, so, who were we to let the moment pass? no way! we decided to live in it and enjoy it. to celebrate it! and in doing so to be fully present, which is rare. hanging out in the pool and making s'mores over a big fat fire while music fell in sync to the enormous raindrops was nothign short of spectacular as i got to spend this dark and stormy night with my crew of loved ones! and on this unassuming night with nothing spectacular in the works i had the time of my life when i realized the importance of enjoying the simplest of pleasures that come from living in the now. even the dogs were over the moon! so two things, and you can go one way or the other way here. or both could be totally acceptable. i reached for the book "living in the now" as i got into bed that night for some reinforcement but you might want to add a "dark and stormy" on that dark and stormy!
