kai's newest team member, natalie, is a san fransican whose stories of the city by the bay have me day dreaming about my next visit. in the meantime, i've asked natalie to share her favorite san francisco walking street. like natalie, i too love the energized charm of fillmore street.
beginning in the san francisco bay marina and stretching through a collection of neighborhoods, fillmore street overflows with a mix of upscale boutiques, quaint cafes, art galleries, salons, and elegant dining. as my choice walking street in san francisco, i love to spend the day exploring what's new or just popping in to a shop or restaurant to grab something to go. to start the morning off right, i head to
international orange for a reviving yoga class. i plan to get there a little early so that i can spend time in their relaxing spa, and browse their wellness store. after a challenging and centering class, i love to walk up the beautiful tree-lined street to
jane cafe. always buzzing with coffee shop chatter, jane is a hip eatery to grab a simple breakfast or to order off their gourmet lunch menu and enjoy an afternoon of people watching. after a rejuvenating latte and roasted vegetable panini, i am in the shopping mood. across the street,
joie, a new, warmly welcomed addition to the neighborhood, is my next stop. a reliable brand where i can always find much needed additions to my wardrobe. next, a pop into
margaret o'leary is a must to check out their wonderful mix of sophisticated/casual apparel and accessories. down the next block,
nest is my next go-to boutique for beautifully crafted paper and cards or to find home decor gift ideas. a full day walking up and down fillmore street is not complete without treating myself to an afternoon pick-me-up at
fraiche. they serve fresh, organic frozen yogurt made in-house and features a selection of specialty toppings such as local honeys, fruit purees, and hand shaved callebaut chocolate. i look forward to stopping at the cross street of fillmore and pacific to enjoy the view on my walk home. it's the highest point on fillmore and allows a panoramic look from golden gate bridge across the bay to alcatraz. i cannot wait for my next day spent on fillmore street!
