how did you first discover kai?
kai perfume has been such a constant in my life over the past twenty years that i can’t specifically remember the first time i purchased and used this amazing fragrance. it has been my constant companion and friend, my signature fragrance eliciting many delectable inhalations over the years.
how do you embody kai’s breathlifeflow lifestyle?
i’ve realized the importance of carving out time each day to move my body whether through walking (with a weighted vest!), pilates, or yoga. taking that time to slow down and breathe allows me to be a better mom, designer, and human.
how did you start your career? and how did you end up with your current role?
i always knew i wanted to be an interior designer, and that was my major in college and career path my entire life. eleven years ago, i launched my residential interior design firm, hallie henley design, based out of houston, and i’ve never looked back.
go-to lipstick color?
always, always red!
what color nail polish are you wearing right now?
always, always one coat of opi’s “put it in neutral!” can you tell i’m a creature of habit?
how would you describe your personal style?
much like my interiors, i adore clothing with a classic silhouette but emboldened by color, pattern, and always with a touch of something vintage.
describe your perfect day
a perfect day is a summer day in telluride, colorado with my husband and babies on our favorite hike, beerk creek trail.

bar madonna bar at the marlene in houston!

i use kai’s reed diffuser on my entry table so that when guests arrive, kai is the first thing they smell!

i just purchased taylor jenkins reid’s latest book, “atmosphere.”
