how did you first discover kai?

i discovered kai in the most serendipitous way—walking into a small boutique in los angeles that smelled like heaven. i asked the shopkeeper what that divine scent was, and she handed me a bottle of kai perfume oil. the moment i rolled it onto my wrist, i was transported—it felt like summer, softness, and simplicity all at once. i remember standing there, smiling to myself, thinking, “this is what elegance smells like.” i bought it on the spot, and it’s been with me ever since.

what’s your favorite kai product and why?

the kai body glow is a forever favorite. as someone who’s constantly shooting content and styling looks, my skin has to feel nourished, and this product gives the most radiant, natural sheen. it’s like bottled california light—effortless, clean, and luminous.

do you have a mantra you live by?

“yes, you can start over at any age.”

i remind myself of this every time i doubt the path I’m on. at 58, i left everything stable to pursue what truly lights me up. reinvention is not reserved for the young—it’s available to anyone brave enough to choose it.

how would you describe your personal style?

timeless with a twist. i lean into clean, masculine silhouettes—blazers, crisp shirting, tailored trousers—but i always add a whimsical touch: a bold ring, indian jewelry, or a vintage scarf. style, to me, is storytelling without saying a word.

what’s your beauty secret or must-have product?

glowing skin is always my foundation. i swear by a few staples—caudalie eye cream, westman atelier stick foundation, and of course, kai body butter. hydrated skin just radiates confidence.

what's your ideal way to relax/unwind?

a long bath with kai bathing bubbles, followed by slipping into a robe, pouring a cup of masala chai, and listening to edith piaf on vinyl. it’s my version of sanctuary.
